A Garden Party Wedding Filled with Faith, Family, and Intention

Abby and Carter’s early June wedding was the very definition of timeless garden party charm. Set against the backdrop of Abby’s childhood church—Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Wayzata—and her parents’ beautiful home, the day was filled with soft sunlight, blooming florals, and a palette of blush, fuchsia, and creamy whites. Every detail felt intentional and deeply personal.

Abby designed their invitations herself, incorporating a delicate oil painting she created—just one of many artistic touches woven throughout the day. The florals echoed that same creative spirit, lush and romantic without ever feeling overdone. Her bouquet held her grandmother’s rosary, a subtle but meaningful nod to legacy and faith.

Moments That Moved Us

The ceremony hymn was a moving arrangement of Be Thou My Vision by live musicians, setting the tone for a reverent and joy-filled celebration. Abby walked down the aisle to Canon in D—a dream she had held close for years—and their recessional, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, brought both grace and joy to the moment they became husband and wife.

One of the most memorable parts of the evening came after dinner, when Abby and Carter took a few minutes to thank their guests, family, and vendors by name. It was a reflection of who they are—deeply thoughtful, full of gratitude, and incredibly present. Their reception at the family home was filled with warmth, great conversation, and the kind of energy that only comes from a truly intentional celebration.

Rooted In Love: A Small Note

Abby and Carter, your wedding was a reflection of everything you are—gracious, creative, faith-filled, and full of purpose. From the business you’ve built together to the way you honor the people in your life, it’s clear that your relationship is rooted in something much deeper than just romance. Carter’s words during the evening—“I didn’t truly know God until I met Abby”—will stay with me for a long time.

It was a joy and a privilege to capture your day. Thank you for trusting me with your story and for creating a celebration that reminded everyone in attendance what it looks like to love well.

Love,

Emmy
