A Wildflower Picnic for the Sweetest Bride-to-Be
There’s something so beautiful about gathering to celebrate someone you love — especially in a setting as peaceful and pretty as Wasserman Lake Park Reserve. For Brita’s bachelorette party, that celebration took the form of a sun-kissed picnic brunch surrounded by wildflowers in full bloom.
My sister-in-law Anna asked if I’d capture the morning, and I said yes in a heartbeat. Brita is her sister and such a joy to be around so it was extra sweet to step in with my camera.
Brita showed up glowing in a colorful pink floral dress, totally herself: grounded, joyful, and so clearly cherished by the women around her. A mix of college and childhood friends filled the picnic table with laughter, toasts, and stories. There were croissants and coffee, pink hues, and the soft hum of summer.
Moments like these are such a gift to document. There’s no big agenda, just love and presence and friendship. I felt so honored to quietly preserve the little in-between moments, poses, a toast, a hug, a shared glance, that will someday mean so much to look back on.
Brita — you’re such a natural beauty and kind soul. Your wedding day is going to be stunning, and this day felt like the perfect beginning. So much love to you and your girls!
All my love,
Emmy
