A Sunset Engagement Session Full of Story, Style, and Sweetness
Engagement Photography in Melrose, MN — Serving Shoreview, Sartell, and the Greater Twin Cities
Some couples show up to their engagement session with a few outfits and a little nervous energy. Abi & Tyler? They came with vintage lanterns, a bottle of champagne, a cozy blanket, and more creative ideas than I could count — and I loved every second of it.
Abi & Tyler’s engagement session at Oak Township County Park in Melrose, MN was absolutely golden. The light poured in through the trees, the lake reflected that soft summer glow, and everything just felt peaceful and full of anticipation. Melrose is just a short drive from where I grew up spending summers at my family’s cabin on Grand Lake in Cold Spring, so being up here with these two felt like a full-circle kind of moment.
A Personal Connection & Thoughtful Details
Abi and I go back to college days — she was one of my residents when I was an RA, and now a sweet friend I get to walk alongside in this season. She and Tyler first met at church, and their connection is gentle, joyful, and full of purpose. From the moment we started shooting, it was easy to see how much they care for one another.
Tyler brought his collection of vintage lanterns, champagne, a blanket, and even a few swing dance moves. They came with vision, excitement, and hearts fully in — and I barely had to lift a finger.
Looking Ahead to November
Abi & Tyler will be saying “I do” this November at the Church of St. Benedict in Avon, MN — and I couldn’t be more honored to be the one capturing it. If their engagement session is any reflection of what’s to come, their wedding day will be thoughtful, heartfelt, sacred, and beautifully them.
Abi & Tyler — thank you for inviting me in! Your love is a gift to photograph, and I can’t wait for this November!
All my love,
Emmy
